Urban areas in Tanzania are growing rapidly, exerting significant pressure on housing, infrastructure, services and the environment. Addressing these challenges, this study examines the adequacy and effectiveness of current frameworks for the development of sustainable cities in Tanzania, with a focus on Dodoma.

By focusing on women’s lived experiences and leadership contributions, this research study calls for a paradigm shift on how leadership for women is understood and practiced in Tanzania.
