On 1 October 2024, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, appointed the new Board of Directors for UONGOZI Institute. Its members include:

1. Amb. Ombeni Sefue, Former Chief Secretary of the United Republic of Tanzania
2. Amb. Theresa Zitting, Ambassador of Finland in Tanzania
3. Amb. Dr. Laura Torvinen, Former Finnish Ambassador
4. Dr. Brian Cawley, Former Director General of the Institute of Public Administration – Ireland 
5. Amb. Maj Gen. (Rtd.) Gaudence Milanzi, Former Tanzanian Ambassador and Permanent Secretary
6. Amb. Begum Taj, Former Tanzanian Ambassador
7. Prof. Samuel Wangwe, Retired Professor at the University of Dar es Salaam
8. Dr. Hamisi Mwinyimvua, Senior Lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam
9. Ms. Susan Mlawi, Former Permanent Secretary

This new Board will be launched on Thursday 28 November 2024, in Dar es Salaam. The guest of honour will be Hon. George Simbachawene (MP), Minister of State in the President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance.
