The speech by H.E. Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, Former President of the United Republic of Tanzania at UONGOZI Institute’s seventh graduation ceremony held on 17 May 2024 at the Mlimani City Conference Hall, Dar es Salaam.

The event was organised to celebrate the accomplishments of those who completed our long-term programmes: Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership (PGD), Certificate in Leadership (CiL), and Women’s Leadership Programme (WLP). A total of 198 leaders graduated.

His address highlights how the graduates should aspire to be life-long learners, with reading being essential to achieving this. It also reminds the graduates to consider how they will leave a legacy in their respective roles.
