On 16 December 2024, UONGOZI Institute in collaboration with the President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG), will convene a national dialogue on “Strengthening local governance for better service delivery”.
The event, to be held in Dodoma, will discuss actions and strategies for sound leadership at the local level to improve efficiency and service delivery.
The guest of honour will be Hon. Mohamed Omary Mchengerwa (MP), Minister of State, PO-RALG.
Specifically, the dialogue will:
- Exchange knowledge and experience on how local government leaders can improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Discuss systemic and capacity-related factors that hinder local government leaders in delivering services effectively.
- Identify areas that require capacity development and action-oriented research to address the existing challenges.
