The address at the African Leadership Forum 2017 was given by the former President of Nigeria in Johannesburg, South Africa. It considered the Forum’s theme of “Peace and Security for an Integrated, United and Sustainable Africa”.

The former president’s address reflected his extensive involvement in peace-making, peace-building, conflict prevention and management across Africa. His observations included the importance of addressing the underlying sources of insecurity and instability in order to finding lasting solutions to the conflicts faced by the continent.
